The Port Augusta Shack book is a history of the Blanche Harbor and Commissariat Point Shacks.
It is a huge book with over 800 pages of what it took to build and keep the 280 plus shacks on the western shores of Upper Spencer Gulf.
Author Peter Huxtable and author's Assistant Dianne Strongman have spent a number of years putting this together and is a must for all history buffs of Port Augusta.
