Shipping And Returns


We are currently shipping to AUSTRALIAN ADDRESSES ONLY.

INTERNATIONAL orders will be DECLINED immediately and may incur a refund fee (see below PayPal Refund Policy).

Our aim is to display online only what we have in store hence 95% of all orders can be shipped almost immediately. We dispatch our orders during business hours Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays)

We now have Current Stock Levels on our items and these are updated every 24-48 hours. As such there may be instances where our website stock levels may vary slightly due to sales made throughout the day and this is unfortunately unavoidable but we will do our best to restock and ship to you as quickly as possible. Our everyday items are regularly restocked so if an item shows Out of Stock then please check back as these levels can change daily. If you think the freight costs calculated by our program are too high, please email us tgm@internode.on.net or call us 86422302 and we will do our best to quote you a better price or adjust Australia Post Pricing. When ordering multiple items the automated quote can often be higher than it should be, this is out of our control unfortunately but if you contact us with your required items we will always do our best to give you the lowest possible shipping price.

Delivery times are via Australia Post and can be calculated by going to the following link. https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/delivery-times.html Deliver times are variable as outlined by Australia Post and as a customer you must understand or allow a sufficient time to receive your goods. Top O The Gulf Marine does not accept any liability for slower delivery times than stated by Australia Post. i.e. (This is outside our control)   


We also use Cochranes Transport who deliver throughout South Australia and into some areas of NSW and VIC. Cochranes Transport can carry much larger bulkier loads albeit they are not an Australia Wide Service. 

If you are ordering large bulky item/s or multiple smaller items it is not always possible to give an exact quote for every possible variation and location with our online freight calculator.

Note:- There are restrictions on some products and remote location addresses. Some products cannot be shipped due to various reasons. e.g. (Dangerous goods, physical size and availability of transport infrastructure Australia wide)
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight and dimension based. Bulky items may incur additional freight costs. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.

If you are purchasing locally or planning to travel through Port Augusta we do allow pickups from our store however the order must be placed via our online shopping cart website and paid for via the online store. If you choose this option the person collecting will be required to show some form of identification, i.e.(Photo I.D. or like) We may also request contact details from this person if not the person who originally ordered the item.  

If you live outside our immediate area the “Collect” function within the website should be visible, only click on this if you wish to collect. PAYPAL Refund Policy

Any PayPal transaction that needs to be either Cancelled, Declined or Refunded due to customer failing to properly fill in shipping charges will incur a fee charge as applied by PayPal.

Any Paypal transaction that needs to be either Cancelled, Declined or Refunded due to Top O The Gulf Marine being unable in supply your order will NOT incur this charge.

Returns Policy

Online shopping can sometimes be difficult in that unless you have handled the product or asked an “on floor sales person” their opinion as to the suitability of a product for a given purpose one can of course end up with a product that is not exactly what you wanted. We suggest prior to ordering you do all the necessary research on the product you are ordering. By ordering online you are in fact eliminating the “on floor sales person” who sometimes has years of experience selling such products and you have decided to take on the responsibility of researching the product fully yourself. If after receiving your chosen product, you contact us and say you have changed your mind and wish to return the product you can appreciate this puts us in a difficult position and this will incur additional costs to you.

Our policy is that we will accept returns provided you fulfill the following requirements:-

You must email us informing us of your decision to return within 3 days of receiving the goods and the reason why you wish to return.

Once you have received approval from us via email you may return the item for repair, replacement, or refund.

We will pay the return shipping costs only if the item supplied is a result of our error i.e. (you received an incorrect or defective item) No correspondence will be entered into as to the decision made by us as to the definition of incorrect or defective item.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

You will be required to register and insure the product shipped. (If this is not done we will not be held responsible for goods that are sent for return that are lost or damaged if not insured or registered)

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via email of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.

If you are returning a product for repair, replacement or refund, excluding if you received an incorrect or defective product, the refund amount you receive will be for the goods only. Freight will not be compensated. Please also be aware that the freight costs we charge you can be substantially less than what we actually pay the courier or postal network. If this is the case then you may be required to forfeit our actual freight cost from the refund amount you will receive. This case may apply more so to (but is not limited to) remote outback Australia deliveries or deliveries that contain large bulky items. The best way to know what you will receive back is to contact us via email first before returning items.

In addition the the above return policy - please note that we may not accept return of fishing rods or the like due to incorrect choice or other reason (excluding if the issue is our fault) as some of these can be too large and too costly for you when returning to us. For warranty issues for fishing rods you may be required to contact the importer or manufacturer to make a claim. This contact information can be supplied on request.


We also reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee for some items on our website to cover all reasonable expenses of time and handling and return costs to suppliers. (This will be more so the case when it involves products that we don't normally stock in store or have to order in larger quantities than we normally stock from our supplier. If we have already dispatched the goods a re-stocking fee may apply)

It should also be noted that due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, colours of certain items may appear different on different monitors. Please be aware of this when choosing items from our website.
